Burrs
The burr, as a carbide cutting tool, is rotated at the highest speed possible in order to preserve the proper surface speed and cutting conditions…of course, corresponding to their size and structure. Our carbide cutting tools, are created from carbide, allowing them to perform at higher speeds, than the similar HSS cutters. However, they still retain their precision cutting edges.
Carbide Burrs are our smaller carbide cutting tools used in rotary tools , die grinders, medical and dental drills. This carbide cutting tool is well named. The smaller sized cutting head (3 mm. diameter shaft) was originally comparable to the size of the burr seed.
Single Cut Carbide Burrs This is a general purpose carbide cutting tool is designed for cutting steel, copper, brass, cast iron, and other ferrous materials. They cut sharply, allowing good material removal and high performance work-piece finishing.
Double Cut Carbide Burrs These carbide cutting tools provide quick stock removal in the harder materials they cut. With the addition of the left hand flute in the tool, there is a consequent reduction in the pulling action of the burr, allowing for better operator control and performance.
By adding this left hand flute, there is also a reduction in the size of the chips. This allows for slower speeds than the usual. Provides a finer finish.
Aluminum Cut Carbide Burrs These carbide cutting tools are designed to be used on non-metallic and non-ferrous material. These carbide cutting tools make for rapid stock removal, with minimum chip loading.
